There’s an old saying that goes “Wish in one hand, shit in the other. See which fills up faster.” In the case of wishing for a proper Dark Cloud sequel, it’s clear that the brown hand wins out. Well, it’s high time that palm full of hopes and dreams finally got it’s due.
We’re taking it to the streets, boy. And by that, we mean we’re sitting on our ass and firing off an email straight to the heart of Level 5, the company responsible for the Dark Cloud franchise. It is our goal to redirect resources from the development of White Knight Chronicles 2 to creating that thing gamers really want, Dark Cloud freakin’ 3.
But we can’t do it alone, our voice is but one and one is the loneliest, most ineffectual number. We need your help.
We’ve found Level 5′s email form from their japanese website. All you have to do is click the link, fill in the fields, and beg beg BEG for Dark Cloud 3 like your mama’s life hangs on the line. Make something up if you must… some story about how your twin bro has developed a terminal fever, for which the only cure is more Dark Cloud.
Since the link is entirely in Japanese, here’s what each field is, line by line:

Be creative. Be persuasive. Just don’t be insulting. That means no “White Knight Chronicles is a steaming pile of maggot-ridden shit. How could you?” I know, it’s like resisting the urge to kick a fresh turd on a hot, hot day. But be strong. And yes, it’s probably unrealistic to expect Level 5 to throw WKC2 to the wolves and focus on Dark Cloud 3 instead, but at least they’ll know that the franchise is still loved. Sometimes that’s all it takes.
Together we can make this dream a reality, or go down trying. The safe money’s on “go down trying”. But if everyone gave up that easily then mullets would have died with the 80s. Fight the power.
