Kingdom of Loathing: Free Irreverent RPG Fun

Looking for a free online RPG that is fun and goofy?  Ever dreamed of questing as a Disco Bandit, Accordion Thief, or Pastamancer?  Then take this baby out for a test-drive.

This game reminds me of when my friends and I were kids and would play an alternative to Dungeons and Dragons that we called “Caverns and Chameleons”.  It was basically a bunch of random content, with the only purpose being to make each other laugh.

If you enjoy irreverent humor, Kingdom of Loathing will grab you right from the start.  I think these screenshots speak for themselves:

Shit is ridiculous. But I do love some ridiculous.

Is there a “Paper Shield”? Or a “Marble”? Can I fight a “Scary Monster”?

Man, I miss games like this, lol! Reminds me of when my old best friend and I would sit around for hours coding our own qBasic RTS game, which of course we never actually played only coded. Good times!

I hear you, it’s too easy to bite off more than you can chew when it comes to the scope of a game that you and a friend want to make. I’ve learned that lesson several times, as has ikecube, as has mulletsaurus.
