Duke Nukem Forever Delayed. Again. Not Joking.

Thursday, March 24th, 2011 by

Well, at least Gearbox had it in them to break to us all funny like. The game that’s been over a decade in the making, and nearly as long in the delaying, is being pushed back from it’s early May release date to June 14th. Hey, what can you do? Duke never comes early.

At least the one month delay indicates that it isn’t a software development delay – it is more likely a delay as the result of getting marketing efforts coordinated and filling distribution channels. Although I haven’t research it yet, it may also be a more favorable release day depending on competing titles. Overall, this is a very positive sign that DNF is going to be worth the wait.

After 14 years, what’s another month? Better they wrap up loose ends than push out a rushed product.
