About an hour ago, Madden NFL 12 showed up in the App Store for $6.99. Suck on that, people who waited in line for your fancy-schmancy console versions with your outdated “control pads” and time-killing “Game Modes.”
For those of you who just can’t wait, go ahead and pick it up. However, be forewarned. Earlier in the year, Tiger Woods’ PGA Tour 12 went on sale for $.99 less than two weeks after it was released at $4.99. While there’s no guarantee that it will happen, especially considering this is EA Sports’ flagship title, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit.
If you, like me, have a few other games to tide you over (or in my case, fifty-four… damn you, free apps), maybe you should get to those first before the game is inevitably discounted to coincide with the start of the NFL’s season in, you guessed it, less than two weeks.
