I’m not the world’s biggest fan of HOMERUN BATTLE 2.
Any game that gives a player a significant competitive advantage through paid items is broken. Any game that advertises features that you have to pay to unlock is broken. Any game with achievements you can only obtain by paying extra money is broken. Com2uS made a good game, mind you, but there are so many pay-to-win hooks that its already-high-by-App-Store-standards $4.99 price point seems more like a down payment than an actual purchase.
So frustrated was I with Com2uS’s dirty tactics, I made a beginner’s guide. It became outdated on December 26th and needs an update badly, but that doesn’t matter. Com2uS just made that shabby, outdated guide completely moot.
HOMERUN BATTLE 2 users who log-in with their Com2uS account will receive 300 stars, likely in an attempt to win some of the slighted players back. 300 stars seems like a pittance at best and a “first taste’s free” at worst, but it’s a definite step in the right direction.
Now, all they have to do is unlock the female player by default, make the last stadium purchasable with gold balls, and lower the number of costumes you need to buy to earn an achievement, and I’d say it’s worth buying. Until then, buyer beware.
