Ye Olde Nintendo Cereal Commercial

Sunday, June 24th, 2012 by

Anyone remember this? I actually talked my mom into getting it once, and I thought it was pretty awful, even as a kid. However, the idea of it was awesome.

Turn up the volume before hitting play. This is the only version I could find that doesn’t have the beginning cut off, which has the best line of the whole thing:

No doubt this ad kick-started lucrative acting careers for every kid shown.

I prefer this one for Donkey Kong cereal.

Of course, that actually did launch a kid’s career.

Man, I’m so glad he was in that ad. What would Saved by the Bell have been without his douchey wisecracks?

I missed this one when I was a kid, but I’m really glad I’ve seen it now. Thanks!

Moreover, we wouldn’t have television’s greatest masterpiece: Franklin & Bash.

They’re lawyers, but they’re not evil! Bromance!

Yes, I remember this, sandwiched somewhere in my mind between Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Duck Tales. Pretty boring flavor, but an unopened box might fetch a decent price on eBay.
