Tiny Wings 2.0 is coming July 12th to iOS

Friday, July 6th, 2012 by

I have no idea what that teaser is teasing. Is it an update to Tiny Wings? Is it an entirely new sequel? All I know is that I have money ready just in case, because it’s coming July 12th.

Landing in a nest next to an egg? Are we finally going to get a mode other than Endless?

We’re rather fond of Tiny Wings around these parts. It’s hard to put your finger on just what makes it so great, but you can simply feel it in everything it does. I even threw the Tiny Wings Theme MP3 on my iPhone.

I snagged Tiny Wings for $1 recently. I do like the charm a lot; as you mentioned in one of our podcasts, it’s just a feel-good game, like how you go to sleep when the night catches you instead of dying, as with most runner games. It’s kind of frustrating at first getting the hang of the hill slides, but after getting at least decent at it, the game is really enjoyable.

Whatever this “next” thing is, maybe they’ll give it to me for free since it releases on my birthday.

Tiny Wings just clicked with me early on, though I’ve missed and cursed my fair share of hills. It was slightly easier when it was released until you hit island 6, which was then like reaching the deepest depths of Hell.

It’s since been changed around a bit, where Island 2 has increased in difficulty, but latter islands seem a tad bit easier. Island 6 can be a bitch with its steep hills, though.

You know, you could send him Andreas Illiger a message and cross your fingers.

Forgot… the music and happy sound effects go a long way for artistic vision.

Oh, hey… you ARE getting it for free. 2.0 really IS a 2.0.

I love me some Tiny Wangs.

For the record, that was said out loud with an outrageous accent – not to be confused with actual tiny peni.
