Announced at Quakecon 2012, Rise of the Triad, first released in 1995 by Apogee as a DOS game, is now slated to be remade for Windows. The original was intentionally way over the top in terms of graphic violence, to the point that it was comical, and the remake seems to have the same style.
The game doesn’t look great by today’s standards, but fans of the original might find it to be a fun trip down Nostalgia Lane:
