Quick note: If you’re playing Puzzle Craft and enjoying it, you should probably stop what you’re doing. Wait for the next update. I just found out the hard way.
Currently, Puzzle Craft has a game-breaking bug that deletes your save file, apparently while syncing with iCloud. Funny, I thought the point of iCloud was so I wouldn’t lose my game saves.
Except it’s not funny. I’ve been plugging away at Puzzle Craft for review purposes. I’ve been taking notes for a guide. I’ve been losing sleep to its addictive “just one more harvest” gameplay. Now, my poor “Seoulsville” is now all dust to dust after 19 levels and approximately eight hours of play.
Don’t suffer the same fate. Take a break and wait for the update that’s supposedly on the way. Maybe scratch that itch with Dungeon Raid and Triple Town, the two games Puzzle Craft most resembles, in the meantime.
If you are one of the unfortunate players who has lost their save file, the bad news is there’s no getting it back. Your only option is to go into the Options menu and reset the game. Sorry about your luck. I truly feel your pain.
And, yes, I really named my town “Seoulsville”. I can never think of a cool name for my town, and I watched a lot of Scooby-Doo growing up. Dammit, why didn’t I name it Coolsville?
