Gamer Jukebox: Heavenly Flight, Indeed

Wednesday, September 26th, 2012 by

What happens when you combine the composition talents of Koichi Sugiyama with the performance power of the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra? You get this – a sweeping epic of musical achievement with the power to move mountains. That may be a bit of an overstatement, but c’mon! Stuff’s brilliant.

This is Heavenly Flight; one of many songs that were plucked from the Dragon Quest VIII OST and given the orchestral treatment. It’s worth noting that these revamped tracks were plugged directly into the US version of the game, whereas the original Japanese release had sequenced versions instead.
