The coolest part of Seoul Festival 2012 was one kid’s wish…

Seoul Festival 2012 Wish Angels

What do you get when you put 30 million people into a cramped city who are looking for an excuse to celebrate just about anything for the sake of tourism? A lot of pointless festivals. Today, Seoul Festival 2012 took place near the Dongdaemun Market District in Seoul celebrating, uh, Seoul?

With my iPhone’s battery low from a full morning of gaming, I had to look elsewhere for entertainment amongst the multitude of lulls. Enter the “Wish Angels.”

Out of curiosity, I went nosing through these wishes. While most of the Korean children were concerned about things like their studies or getting that person they like to like them back, it was this one in French that stood out most to me.

Roughly translated: “[I wish] that I had a computer. [I wish] that I could play 3DS all day long.”

I don’t know who you are, Corentin, but I like the cut of your jib. You could have chosen world peace, but you went for your piece of the world, instead. Kudos, little man.

Half a block of angels were stringed up at the generically named Seoul Festival.

Families from all around find the only thing of interest at Seoul Festival 2012.
