Oppa, Gangnam 8-bit Style

Saturday, October 6th, 2012 by

Youtube user: DaneBoe  has produced this great little piece of media. He mined the best bits (get it?) of PSY’s Gangnam Style and plugged them into a wayback machine to create a NES-era stylized look and sound of the original music video. This is an aging video-game nerd’s dream of simpler times with a modern music twist, yet far more addicting than Activision/Blizzard’s ProfitCraft that surely would exist if Bobby Kotick had his way, but never will (I hope).

The thought of all those pixels air-humping were sadly left out of this video and a major oversight by Mr.Boe.

About the Author

I’m the gamer your mother warned you about: I was introduced to video games on the Atari 2600, and quickly moved to a Nintendo, where The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, and Dragon Warrior dominated my early non-Mario years. Now days, I do mostly PC gaming, and some console gaming. I’ve been in and out of rehab, and there’s no saving a nerd like me. NerdLife4Ever.

I love how it appears to be playing on a CRT.
