Final Fantasy Mystic Quest: The true turd-sandwich of the series. 8 and 10 suck with their weak stories and shallow characters, but Mystic Quest takes the prize for top butt-nugget. It’s truly amazing that it even bears the “Final Fantasy” name.

Despite this, it has rare moments of greatness. One of those is when you walk into Doom Castle, the final dungeon, and hear this epic track. Not only is it by far the strongest in the game, it’s among the best of the entire series.

You know, it’s been so long since I’ve played this one, but isn’t there a part in the Focus Tower that has you briefly cross into Doom Castle well before the end game?

      Right you are, sir.
