I have got to stop buying games before I have time to play them. Earlier this week, The Walking Dead: The Game and ARC Squadron each showed up for free in the App Store. I’ve yet to play either, but I certainly paid for them both.
Now, Bastion, which I bought on an impulse at $4.99 this weekend and have yet to play on iOS, can be yours for under a dollar. Seriously, God, I get it. I need to be a better person. Now stop putting rakes where I walk, you dick.
Bastion, by Supergiant Games, was the recipient of all sorts of accolades when it launched on Xbox Live Arcade last year. Featuring beautiful art, excellent music, and dynamic narration, Bastion took the tired Action RPG formula and breathed some new life.
Then, it showed up on iPad in August before going universal in an app update last month. Universal app or not, Bastion is only compatible with the iDevices sporting an A5 processor or better, so buyer beware.
