Street Fighter The Movie: The Game

Tuesday, October 29th, 2013 by

The Street Fighter games have seen many iterations, none as forgettable as Street Fighter The Movie The Game, the lukewarm arcade sensation based on the 1994 Street Fighter full motion picture. So forgettable was this version of Street Fighter, in fact, that I was just now reminded of it, accidentally, for the first time in almost twenty years while casually bumbling through the internet pipeline. Yeesh, I’m old.

Enjoy this ten minute video of Jean Claude Van Damme (holy hell, I spelled that correctly on the first attempt. 80s children represent!) – er, Guile - flash kicking his cheesy way to total domination over the entire game’s cast.

Stupid Mortal Kombat and NBA Jam for making this happen!

Also, I’m curious, is this the arcade version or the more Street Fighter-like console one?

      Don’t forget Pit Fighter!

This is the arcade game, BTW. I sunk a cumulative fifty cents into it before offering up a mighty ‘meh’ then running back out to the beach.
