Between phones and handheld games, laptop or desktop computers, and televisions, most of us spend a lot of time staring at screens these days. Many of us even use them during the work day, then for several hours in the evening.
No doubt you’ve suffered from eye fatigue as a result — your eyes feel dry and itchy, your vision is blurry, and you’re more tired than you should be. These symptoms are distracting and waste your time, but what can you do about it?
Help minimize your eye strain related to digital displays with these two easy tips.
1: Blink more often
When we focus on a flat object, we tend to blink far less often. Make a conscious effort to blink while using screens so that your eyes stay moistened.
2: The 20-20-20 rule
Every 20 minutes, focus on something at least 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. This acts as a resetting mechanism.
