Freebie Alert: Adventure Bar Story, Rise to Fame, and Tiny Troopers cost nothing

September 28th, 2012 by

A couple of games that we reviewed in the past just showed up for free for the first time in Adventure Bar Story and Rise to Fame.

Adventure Bar Story Beginner’s Guide

When I started making the Adventure Bar Story posts, I never had the intention of becoming a Wiki. Still don’t, but I know a lot of people have a lot of questions and the game doesn’t do a particularly good job of explaining things.

So, here are some of the most common answers for frequently asked questions and a few hints for you.

Adventure Bar Story: Combo Guide

Since people have been asking for it, here is a combination guide for all the combos in the game. It is a work-in-progress.

Review: Adventure Bar Story (iOS)

Oh, Japan, you really are the best when it comes to roleplaying games with quirky themes. Thousand Arms, for instance, mixed funny dating games into an RPG. Etrian Odyssey mixed cartography and RPGs. My World, My Way featured a princess so bossy and spoiled that she could simply will the world around her to change. While hardly the best narratives, these quirky games take a gimmick, run with it, and leave a lasting impression on anyone daring enough to venture into their niche.

You can now add RideOnJapan’s Adventure Bar Story to that list.

Adventure Bar Story: Recipe Guide

I just started getting into Adventure Bar Story. It’s quirky, but solid in all the right places.

However, starting out, you may find yourself losing items as you try to guess at the “Hint Recipe” ingredients or equipment. The game offers to sell you hints, but why pay more? Consult our handy, dandy “Recipe Guide” for help.
