The Mega Man and Mega Man X series are known for their pumpin’ tunes. The theme for Wheel Gator’s stage from Mega Man X2 isn’t the most amazing in the series, but it does set the mood for rushing to the maverick reploid as quickly as possible, since the longer you take, the more advanced his AI becomes.

Gamer’s Jukebox: Mega Man X2: Wheel Gator + Remix: Spin Gator

January 3rd, 2012 by Markham AsylumI didn’t figure that anyone would be able to do a decent remix of something as complicated as the music from the last battle in Final Fantasy 7, but I was wrong. And it’s not decent, it’s great. Behold the work of PrototypeRaptor:
Gamer’s Jukebox: Castlevania: Circle of the Moon: Awake + Remix: Rude Awakening
July 27th, 2011 by Markham AsylumCastlevania: Circle of the Moon was a great follow-up to Symphony of the Night. Though it had a clunky ability-card system, it featured several improvements over its predecessor, such as easier warping and multiple alternate game modes that required different play strategies. Its music was not nearly as good at Symphony’s, but it still had some memorable tracks.
Gamer’s Jukebox: Final Doom: Remix: Milagro Del Demonio
July 1st, 2011 by Markham AsylumThis remix from Final Doom features a groovy bass line that is downright infectious.
Gamer’s Jukebox: Final Fantasy IV: The Land of Summons + Remix: Path of Deception
May 27th, 2011 by Markham AsylumRydia is beautiful and calm on the outside, but she can unleash torrents of destructive black magic and call upon the power of the Eidolons at will. Similarly, the theme for Final Fantasy IV’s Feymarch and the cave leading to it is serene, but it belies the brutal enemies that lay in wait for unsuspecting intruders.
Gamer’s Jukebox: Contra: Snow Field + Remix: Snow Field
May 4th, 2011 by Markham AsylumYou won’t believe what this remixer did with only ~30 seconds of music from Contra. Though the track Snow Field from Contra doesn’t hold a special place in my memory, this reimagining is one of my favorites from OverClocked ReMix. (Also, look at what a rip-off the cover art for Contra was!)
Gamer’s Jukebox: Mega Man 3: Snake Man + Remix: Ravaging Reptile
April 12th, 2011 by Markham AsylumOverClocked ReMix upgrades another 8-bit tune, this time the catchy theme to Snake Man’s level. Get equipped with Ravaging Reptile.
